STATELINE, NV – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Olivier LeBlanc for the 2025-26 season.

 

LeBlanc, 29, joins Knight Monsters after spending last season overseas with the Fife Flyers of the EIHL.  LeBlanc served as the team’s captain and totaled nine assists with 68 penalty minutes in 44 games played. The year prior, the 6-0m 175-pound blueliner recorded nine assists in 38 games with Angers in France. 

 

During his career, LeBlanc collected 16 points (2g, 14a) in 68 career ECHL games split in stints with the Kalamazoo Wings and Florida Everblades.  In addition, LeBlanc brings 35 games of AHL experience to Tahoe’s roster during his time with the Cleveland Monsters and Belleville Senators from 2020-2023.   

 

LeBlanc had a productive major junior career in the QMJHL totaling 164 points (33g, 131a) in 291 appearances split between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles from 2012-2017.  

 

Prior to starting his pro career, Alger posted ten points (3g, 7a) in 40 contests during his senior year at UMass, while also serving as the team’s captain.  The 6-2, 195-pound defenseman registered 15 points in 104 appearances during his collegiate career with the Minutemen from 2020-2025.    

 

LeBlanc joins Anthony Collins (F), Jake McGrew (F), Kaelan Taylor (D) and Linden Alger (D) on the list of players that have agreed to terms with the Knight Monsters for the 2025-26 Season.  
 


The Knight Monsters will host their Opening Weekend on October 17th, 18th, & 19th against the Idaho Steelheads at Tahoe Blue Event Center.  Ticket packages for the 2025-26 season are now available. For more information, visit www.knightmonstershockey.com
