STATELINE, NV – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights, announced today the signing of forward Casey McDonald.
McDonald joins the Knight Monsters from the South Carolina Stingrays, where he posted three points (2g-1a) in 13 games at the end of last season.
The Kindersley, Saskatchewan native joined South Carolina after finishing his collegiate career with Long Island University, where he served as captain, tallying 10 points (4g-6a) in 31 games.
McDonald played the first three seasons of his college journey with American International College, where he wore the “C” during the 2024-25 season. In 107 total NCAA games for the Yellow Jackets and Sharks, McDonald scored 32 points (16g-16a).
McDonald spent two seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Fargo Force from 2019 to 2021, accumulating 26 points (9g-17a). Before attending AIC, McDonald played for the Penticton Vees in the British Columbia Hockey League during the 2021-22 season, ranking top five on the team in scoring.
The Knight Monsters open the 2026-27 season at home on Friday, October 23, as they take on the New Mexico Goatheads at Tahoe Blue Event Center.
