Knight Monsters Sign Collegiate Goaltender Alex Tracy

STATELINE, NV – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights, announced today the signing of goaltender Alex Tracy. 

 

Tracy joins the Knight Monsters from Minnesota State University-Mankato, where he put up a 21-11-7 record this season with a 1.80 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage. 

 

In his four seasons with the Mavericks, Tracy appeared in 115 games, amassing 66 wins, a 1.87 career goals-against average, and adding 13 shutouts. The Chicago, Illinois, native previously played two seasons in the United States Hockey League for the Sioux City Musketeers, where he helped lead the team to a Clark Cup championship and was named Clark Cup MVP in 2022. 

 

Tracy is signing to an AHL-level contract with Henderson, but will be reporting to Tahoe for the remainder of the regular season. 

 

The Knight Monsters return home on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones for What If? Night at Tahoe Blue Event Center, where the Tahoe Knight Monsters become the Tahoe Powder Hounds. Puck drop is at 7:00 pm, with pregame coverage on the Knight Monsters broadcast network beginning at 6:50 pm.
