STATELINE, NV – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights, announced today that defenseman Samuel Mayer has returned to the Knight Monsters after being loaned by AHL Henderson.
In four games this season with the Silver Knights, Mayer has yet to post a point. The L’Orignal, Ontario, native returns to the Knight Monsters, having played 34 games this season.
Mayer has posted 22 points for the Knight Monsters this season. His 10 goals lead the ECHL amongst defensemen in goals, and he is one of eight skaters for Tahoe this season who have reached double-digits in goals.
The Knight Monsters return home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to take on the Utah Grizzlies at Tahoe Blue Event Center. Puck drop is at 7:00 pm, with pregame coverage on the Knight Monsters broadcast network beginning at 6:50 pm. Ticket packages for the 2025-26 season are now available.
