Knight Monsters Welcome Veteran Head Coach Alex Loh as their Inaugural Coach

The Tahoe Knight Monsters announced today that Alex Loh has been hired as the team’s first head coach. Loh brings a wealth of ECHL knowledge and experience to the Knight Monsters having served as a head coach and an assistant in the ECHL over the past eight seasons.

Loh joins the Knight Monsters after spending the past two seasons with the Savannah Ghost Pirates (ECHL).  Loh served as an assistant coach for the Ghost Pirates from 2022-2024 before stepping in as Savannah’s interim head coach this past February. In that role, Loh helped guide the Ghost Pirates to a winning record in their final 31 games this past season recording 16 wins and earning points in 19 of those 31 contests.

Prior to his time in Savannah, Loh was the head coach of the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) for three seasons from 2018-2022.  Prior to becoming head coach for the Thunder, Loh served three additional seasons as an assistant/associate coach for the team beginning in 2015.  Loh has totaled 102 wins during this head coaching career.

“We are very excited to welcome Alex Loh to the Knight Monsters family,” said Knight Monsters Co-Owner David Hodges. “Alex’s experience and familiarity with the league makes him a perfect fit for our organization as we head into our inaugural season.”
